Kingswear has 2 pubs, 2 cafes, Post Office and shop, a general store and a wine bar so you can eat and shop locally. The Kingswear ferry slip is moments from the cottage where you can catch the regular ferry to Dartmouth.
Dartmouth has a wealth of restaurants, independent shops and boutiques, there are also high-street shops such as White Stuff, Fat Face and Joules. You can also take the short walk to English Heritage's Dartmouth Castle. The ferry also caries vehicles and from Dartmouth you can visit the stunning sands at Blackpool and Slapton, or a little further afield is the pretty estuary town of Salcombe a 30-40 minute drive. A boat trip or heritage steam train will take you to Totnes or Paignton.
From the cottage there is instant access to coastal walks and you can also visit the quaint National Trust house Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, home of Agatha Christie. There are opportunities to hire canoes, stand-up paddle boards & kayaks and enjoy some time on the river.
We also have superfast broadband and WiFi throughout the cottage. There are steps to access the property and stairs to both bedrooms/bathroom so the cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
